I’m at Reboot – it’s proved to be a most excellent conference. Lots of chewy subjects, little talk of blogging and podcasting. The social side of technology.
I presented my talk entitled ‘a mobile Internet manifesto’. You can download it here.
I demoed some software for S60 – notably Nokia Research Center’s awesome mobile web server (you can download it and get a proxy account there too). I also mentioned a project I’ve been working on – a prototype of an s60 client for Backpack, written in Python. I’m still working out all the legal niceties to publish it on the web, but in the meantime, if you have an S60 phone, please email me if you would like a copy.
Got this all running on my N70, but don’t seem to be able to browse on the phone’s Opera to 127.0.0.1 without some sort of data account with my mobile provider (I keep getting prompted to select an APN). Any ideas how to work around this?
