I know it’s unusual for me to talk about mobile stuff here any more, but anyway…

Flash Lite 2 for S60 is finally available! You can download the preview/beta authoring extensions for Flash Professional here .

There’s also a link on there to register and (eventually) download the Flash Lite player free for a limited time.

I’m pretty excited about this, as now it’s possible to author using a known standard version of Flash and ActionScript. No doubt there will be limitations due to memory and processing speed, but it should give canny Flash developers a head start on mobile phones.

Just, please please, no skip intros, no brochureware, no animations for the sake of it. I am still a little battleweary from fighting against Shockwave/Flash on websites for the last 8 years.

The authoring environment is for Windows Flash Pro only though. This makes me sad.
